Best Futures Prop Firms for Scalping
On this page, we rank futures prop firms for scalping based on execution flexibility — especially minimum hold time, news trading rules, and algo permissions. A firm may have attractive payouts or pricing, but if it restricts quick entries and exits, it should not rank highly for scalpers.
This page does not factor in drawdown type, consistency rules, pricing, or payout speed. Those matter for overall trading — but they don't determine whether you can scalp.

What Makes a Firm Scalp-Friendly?
Minimum hold time is the single most important factor for scalpers. Some firms require trades held 10+ seconds or even 2+ minutes. If your average trade lasts 3 seconds, these rules invalidate your strategy entirely. Always check this first.
News trading permission matters because scalpers often trade around high-volatility events. If a firm restricts trading during news releases, you lose some of the best scalping windows.
Algo trading permission matters because many scalping strategies are automated. If a firm blocks EAs or bots, you cannot run automated scalping systems even if the hold time is unrestricted.
Why not drawdown or consistency? Those factors affect all trading styles, not scalping specifically. A trailing drawdown is equally challenging for swing traders and scalpers. This page isolates the execution-freedom factors that directly determine whether a scalping strategy is viable at a given firm.
