Alpha Futures uses EOD drawdown with standard payout timing and a strong 90% profit split. There's no activation fee, which keeps the total cost-to-funding lower than most competitors. Keep in mind the 50% (Eval) / 40% (Qualified) / 20% (Direct) consistency rule — it limits how much of your profit can come from a single day.

What Is Alpha Futures?

Alpha Futures is a futures prop firm offering a hybrid drawdown model — EOD trailing that can convert to static under certain conditions. The firm offers four account types: Premium (formerly Standard), Advanced, Zero, and the new Direct one-time accounts, each with different consistency rules and payout structures. This plan diversity lets traders choose the path that best matches their trading style and risk preferences.

The Zero plan is particularly notable for funded-account flexibility: no funded consistency rule means one great trading day can count fully toward your payout, providing one of the cleanest funded experiences. For traders frustrated by consistency limits that penalize their best days, the Zero plan eliminates that friction entirely.

Alpha Futures supports algorithmic trading and EAs. The firm supports AlphaTrader, Tradovate, NinjaTrader, WealthCharts, and TradingView across $25K, $50K, $100K, and $150K account sizes.

Alpha Futures Pricing & Plan Types

The Premium plan (formerly Standard) is priced at $519 for $50K, $689 for $100K, and $859 for $150K as monthly subscriptions. The new Direct accounts are one-time purchases with no evaluation: $349 for $25K, $519 for $50K, $689 for $100K, and $859 for $150K — trade immediately and request a payout after 5 winning days.

Activation fees vary by plan: $149 on Premium/Advanced after passing, $0 on Zero, and none on Direct (the one-time price is the total cost). Factor this into your total cost-to-funding calculation. Use our true cost calculator to compare against firms with no activation fees.

When comparing Alpha's monthly subscription to competitors' one-time fees, consider how long you expect the evaluation to take. If you pass within 2-3 weeks, the monthly cost is very competitive. If the evaluation takes 2-3 months, the subscription model becomes more expensive. Budget accordingly. See current promotions on our Alpha Futures discount page.

Alpha Futures Drawdown — The Hybrid Model

Alpha's Maximum Loss Limit (MLL) trails your end-of-day balance but does not react to intraday swings — functionally similar to EOD trailing but with the potential to convert to static behavior under certain balance conditions. This hybrid approach sits between pure trailing and pure static, offering moderate flexibility.

In practice, the hybrid model means your floor only moves when you close the day higher — but it never moves during the session. A trader who spikes $2,000 unrealized profit intraday but closes flat sees no floor movement. This is materially better than intraday trailing where that spike would permanently tighten the floor.

The Daily Loss Guard on funded accounts is unique and worth understanding: instead of breaching your account when you hit the daily loss limit, it pauses trading for the day. Your account remains active — you just cannot execute new trades until the next session. This is significantly more forgiving than firms where hitting daily loss means instant account termination.

No weekend holding (close by 4:20 PM EST). News trading is allowed with a 2-minute buffer on Standard/Zero plans. For details on how hybrid drawdown compares to pure trailing or static models, see the hybrid drawdown firms page.

Alpha Futures Payout & Consistency Rules

90% profit split across all plans. Standard pays every 14 days; Advanced and Zero pay Up to 4x/month. Maximum 3 active accounts allowed. The weekly payout on the Zero and Advanced plans is a meaningful advantage for traders who want regular access to their earnings.

Consistency rules vary significantly by plan — this is where the plan choice really matters. Standard has 50%/40%/20% during evaluation and tighter rules on funded. Zero has consistency during evaluation but none on funded. The Zero plan's absence of funded consistency rules is its biggest draw — one great trading day can count fully toward your payout without being penalized.

For traders whose strategy naturally produces concentrated profits (a few large wins per week), the Zero and Advanced plans remove the consistency friction that would delay payouts at firms with stricter limits. This is a genuine competitive advantage for high-conviction traders.

Who Should Consider Alpha Futures?

Alpha Futures' Zero plan is the standout for traders who want the simplest funded experience: no funded consistency rule and weekly payouts. If you have been frustrated by having profitable days penalized by consistency limits at other firms, the Zero plan directly solves that problem — though all plans (including Zero) carry a $149 activation fee after passing.

The Daily Loss Guard (pause instead of breach) is uniquely forgiving among all futures prop firms we track. Traders who occasionally have bad days — but consistently recover the next session — will find Alpha's approach more humane than instant termination. You get to keep your account and your progress, even on a bad day.

The hybrid drawdown model suits traders who want more flexibility than pure trailing but don't need full static protection. If you primarily trade during regular market hours and close positions before session end, the EOD-style floor movement works in your favor.

Algo and EA trading is allowed, making Alpha compatible with automated strategies. Compare Alpha Futures with other firms on the full comparison page to see how the Zero plan's value proposition compares.
