Prop Firms With High Profit Split

Your profit split determines how much of your trading gains you actually keep. The difference between an 80% and 100% split on a $10,000 profit is $2,000 — real money that compounds over time.

Below is every major futures prop firm ranked by maximum achievable profit split, from highest to lowest. We also show the conditions required to unlock each split level and how it compares on other critical metrics.

Profit Splits Are Conditional — Read the Fine Print

"100% profit split" is one of the most over-marketed phrases in prop trading. It is almost always conditional. The common pattern: 100% on the first $10,000 of profit, then 80% or 90% on everything after. For a trader who clears $12,000 on the account in their first month, the "100% firm" effectively pays out 83% of the total. A firm quoting a flat 90% can actually be more generous in real dollars above the first $10K. Sticker headlines rarely reflect the math that matters at payout time.

Some splits are gated behind trading milestones: consistent days, cumulative profit, or scaling tiers. Others are gated behind account type — a higher split may only be available on instant-funded or premium tiers costing two to three times the standard evaluation. A firm offering an "up to 100%" split might require twelve payout-eligible days and a $15K profit target before the rate kicks in; until then, you are trading at 80%.

This page shows maximum achievable split, but also exposes the conditions. When comparing, run a realistic scenario: the first $10K of profit, the next $10K, and what happens if you stay funded for six months. Pair high-split firms with forgiving drawdown models so you actually reach the milestones, and check payout speed so the extra percentage compounds in your account, not the firm's.

Decision Guide

If you prioritize you want the absolute highest split → choose Bulenox (offers up to 100% profit split)

If you prioritize you want high split + flexible drawdown → choose Bulenox (100% split with EOD drawdown)

If you prioritize you want high split + lowest cost → choose Bulenox (100% split from just $13/mo)

If you prioritize you want high split + fast payouts → choose TradeDay (95% split, first payout in Day 1 (must clear buffer first))

Beyond the Split: What Else Matters

A 100% profit split means nothing if you can not stay funded. Drawdown rules are the primary cause of account loss — not the profit split percentage. Focus on understanding drawdown types before optimizing for split percentage. Use the Drawdown Visualizer to model different scenarios.

Also consider activation fees. A firm with 100% profit split but a $250 activation fee effectively reduces your net profit on the first payout. Compare total economics on the no activation fee page.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the highest profit split offered by a prop firm?
Several firms offer 100% profit splits. Bulenox gives 100% on the first $10K, then 90%. Elite Trader Funding and Apex Trader Funding offer 100% on sim-funded accounts. Topstep scales from 90% to 100% over time.
Is a 100% profit split too good to be true?
Not necessarily. Firms offering 100% splits typically have other revenue mechanisms — evaluation fees, resets, activation fees, or subscription models. The key is evaluating total cost and rule strictness, not just the split percentage.
Does a higher profit split mean better overall value?
Not always. A firm with a 90% split but flexible EOD drawdown and low activation fees can yield more total profit than a firm with 100% split but strict trailing drawdown that causes frequent resets.
What is the average prop firm profit split?
Most futures prop firms offer between 80% and 90% profit splits. Splits of 90%+ are considered generous. Some firms increase the split as you hit withdrawal milestones.
How do prop firms make money if they give 100% profit splits?
Prop firms make money through evaluation fees, monthly subscriptions, activation fees, and resets. A high profit split is a competitive incentive to attract traders who then pay through these other channels.
